Are you feeling dejected this time around about not being able to make any kind of profit online? Well I know from my experience I spent 9 years in the internet marketing world desperately trying to do some thing. After all, I really wanted a home based business that could make some kind of profit. I would be better off working for WalMart! But any home based business online is only a substitute for your full time job. I loved the idea of working at home, but even more importantly I loved the idea of working my own hours to have a home based business that could actually do something for me.
So on a lark and with great determination I searched high and low for that “something” that would finally deliver me to the good life. I was hopeless at times and I didn’t know who I was really trying to impress with my somewhat managements knowledge. But the thing is, the thing that finally clicked for me was all about niche marketing.
You might be saying are you serious about niche marketing? Well I was. Many people have been pondering on this subject, you’re right; but are you really serious? After all I was just a “newbie” to the topic of internet marketing. Fact is I needed this extra push to get me started. But this is something that can be learned. You can’t get anything by thinking about it, you have to actually do something.
The first thing you can do is decide on what type of Home Based Business you are going to start. Looking through the classifieds online is an easy way to determine what business is in demand right now. You can go around the internet and see what is being marketed. But beware there are millions of products out there; you just have to figure out which one will save you the most amount of time or money.
Now that you have made a decision on what business you are going to start you will need some kind of a plan, even more important than what type of business you are going to do. Most home based business owners out there are successful because they have looked at this from every angle. We all fall at different stages of this learning process. You can just keep searching with no results.
Does that mean that your going to start a business and fail at it? In most cases No. In fact many people have had success and never even knew it. Creating a home based business online is really just your Hobby for the time being. Don’t let it scare you. Everyone goes through the same process. But you have to learn the basics. The basics to internet marketing include the fact that well chosen niche in internet marketing really is what makes all the difference in the end. So, let’s get serious about building our small business!
Let’s talk about a couple of the small business ideas you can work with. They are just two examples: becoming an affiliate of someone else’s product, or creating your own product to sell. Now both of these are available to you another day. So for now may I suggest:
Become an affiliate of someone else’s product (you choose a niche that interests you – maybe golf)
Create your own product to sell (you can make money on this if you know what you are doing)
Finding a Niche for yourself is not going to be easy selling compatibility widgets to the Phd group. Speaking from experience the views in this industry are all over the board. You are no better or worse off because of your education level when it comes to marketing online.
You can fire you boss and finally start your own small business.
