It seems that almost anyone with access to the home computer, and whose job involves sitting at a keyboard, can at some time learn to be a successful online entrepreneur. Whether it’s to run a business from their home or create a substantial income stream from their laptop, the road is the same for each of us in the home.
So, what do you need to start an Internet business? If you’ve already got a successful business started, you didn’t have to start a new one. However, if you’re thinking of taking the plunge and looking for that magic formula that is going to catapult you from profit to profits at will, I suggest you slow down. There’s no magic: it’s all about some common sense wisdom and some training.
In the first instance, you don’t have to quit your job just yet — there’s work to be done, even in this business. If you have your own business that you could run from home as an entrepreneur, and you’re going to be in business for yourself, you will need to spend, at the very least, hundreds of dollars on start up costs, and tens of thousands to create a large enough at-home business to bring in significant profits. You’ll also need some computer expertise, and you will need to market your business so that you can be competitive.
The second thing you need to find is a mentor, someone who will do you a lot of good, and who will provide you with timely advice. The difference between an Internet business mentor and a friend-and-familiar-enough is that the mentor is a living testimonial of your success, and the person who will work with you is going to improve your outcomes.
The third thing is to me, aBrian Eugers tweenager. The team I’m working with, and the partners, whom I am going to partner with, have already made it to the top of their careers at online business. They have the tools necessary to help you become successful in your own business.
However, even if you have the skills or mentors, you will not know everything as soon as you enter computer-based business. That’s why I tell this story: I got started on a part-time basis when I was traveling work (regularly) and needed to find a job. I needed to find a cash-generating base, and the best place to do that was online.
I initially set up my work from home company in 2005 with no guidance and little money, but even though the businesses never took off, my sense of belief in the value of knowledge, and having a mentor to lead me along the way gave me a great advantage, and I’m still operating from a laptop.
In fact, my own personal success is tied to the amount of time I put into the Internet.
I am now working with a couple of teams, and our combined asset is relatively small, but in the grand scheme of things, I am absolutely certain that I will be far ahead of my colleagues in my Internet business.
But hang on and delay no more. I’m on the way to making a healthy living as an entrepreneur, so get involved and get learning. Though most mentors insist they can only teach a particular amount of knowledge to any new member of the team, I’m not equipping myself to be a computer-w unlearnedimating Never Once recorded series of lessons, and I’ll be also whether I’ll be an active student or manager of an engaging e- exhibit I am making.
Why not? Because it is entirely up to you.
