Now that is a great question. I am so sorry that this has to happen. It is. But with the large number of businesses starting up each day, nothing will be “unlimited” any time soon.
It is sad, but my question was prompted by a comment I read yesterday that said something like, “If I can start my storefront today, someone else can do it tomorrow”. But I haven’t thought of that important fact just yet. The issue is easy to see. Whatever the case may be, if you were starting a business today, you could not start until right now. Now, this is not the exact example and the timing is not right for me, but it gives you the correct idea.
I have even people who say they need money to put into a business which is actually in worse shape than the money they have already got. Let me give you a couple of examples.
I love to cook. But after expenses of buying stock, paying for products and then selling them at retail prices, I am left with a mere couple of dollars that are not enough for that. That is unless I could sell them for more. But what about the ones that I really love that I don’t want to give up? Why can’t I do it unless I have the money to buy them? Like I said, I have alimited money portfolio. And this is the reality of your situation. Unfortunately, I can’t give you any specific advice as to what will work. Every individual is unique.
For the sake of the story, let’s call our business an infopreneur. This way we will not have to worry about inventory and nor will we be limited to selling at any or all times of the day. If I have a product that I should sell, I can do it almost all around the clock. And I can do that anywhere in the world where there is an Internet connection and mobile phone. This is themagic of the Internet. I am not leaving the “real” business world out of this, but it is important to discuss the differences and why they matter.
I have noticed that the average person on the Internet, like those on the Internet search for information, is not buying for a particular reason. Perhaps they just don’t understand what they are buying. People buy ” emotional” products and services. They do that because they are angry, upset and want to regain control of their situation. Whenever someone buys anything from you or from someone they have bought something from in the past, the feelings that come across are similar.
I promised that I was only mentioning the bigger picture showing how you should view things. I assure you that strategy does not mean that you have to know the right answer. Just look at the strategic plan, and let it take care of itself. But let’s get your creative juices flowing. And let’s go bring your idea into reality.
You only have to look at what Bill Gates has done to understand the importance and power of making things happen. I have met him in person at many occasions. He has a dream and just like me, it is there for us to get involved in. He is very focused and determined. And I just happen to know nothing about cooking, computers or doing business on the Internet. I do know though that if he will do what he does, it will change my business. If he will do it, then I will accomplish whatever I set out to do.
