Are all the Social Bookmarking sites like a scam from the start? Well, yes and no. There are genuine bookmarking sites and there are too many which just don’t work. I’ve been through and handled such Social Bookmarking sites in my 16 months of experience using web 2.0 social bookmarking as the main source to drive traffic or find good quality content.
As you use one, you begin to make more and more friends. You get irritated with those who there just waste your time. The key is to hang around the good sites & understand the whole point of social bookmarking to get the most out of it. You just don’t put in 100 hours to a project and then give up. It is always a process of mine getting to grips with the many sites, and based over time this file of mine grows very complex and you begin to ask and ask for help.
Always a social facility site is going to eventually provide a place to socialize with like minded users. There is always going to be going to be someone who says “Yes, you are right” & what gets to me is, I’m going to go find a way to get rid of such a person and response is “Yeah, just kidding”. I’m just jumping from site to site like this is a scam. I’m looking at going with the social bookmarking sites which are OK to use & share. And I think a lot of the big timers out there will follow this path. The big names you see today, I guess Facebook, Twitter etc are just the peoples favourites, as you see their presence and go on with your day. I look at sites that are cost free too. Only time the amount of the free tags you decide on, which is usually the way it goes.
And isn’t that the reason why they call it social bookmarking? But then it’s becoming too much for internet marketers who Live on Making Money. I guess we are all in businesses and fail, don’t we all? We want to cheapen it & make it that we can just pay the next monthly bill and pocket the profits from it like they can. I know, but thinking like that does not really work. Social media sites like Wikipedia are for the most part as they are. And this is fine. But these sites are being updated so quickly that changes in value are daily. Twitter has the key to the kingdom on mobile, so getting it wrong for someone’s “like” is like panicking like a flower. And I am not just talking about the small things, with enough care to look at the planning. As you get too hyper, you get completely lost.
Tags are key to getting good traffic to your sites as well. I want to explain one, that is how to optimize it right, so it will fit in with the site and not be something it would be an eyesore. My recommendation is to still look at people that are using old techniques like their own customized content, grabbing the affiliate urls, using a mini version of the site & so on! What does it take, nothing, you have already got these things covered to some degree.
Get to all the sites on the first page; book marks are like your money indexes. You have so much and I gather you could go crazy if you didn’t know “add a tag”. There is an old saying; only those that early own the right story have any money. So, what is your story, the one true story in marketing. Your stuffing them with content, get the relevance right and the other thing you have is a place felt good for your priority seeing.
Share, submit, bookmark it!
P.S. There is not a boring place, always appear, everything is totally different for each site. In the same way, the look, feel and lights are all different & they are all completely like you. Focus, some of us get so wrapped up in this with everything that we forget there is a contrary side; there will be other sites out there that do not have the bad habits of all the others, however, so please understand that there is no “Hyper Marketing, Lifeblood of the Internet” the way that you are going to be on the net.
